According to the Public Relations report of Salamat Radio, Dr. Maryam Sadeghipour, a dentist and oral health specialist, said on the program "Here is the Doctor": Whiteness on the tongue and unpleasant odor from the mouth are often caused by the accumulation of bacteria, fungi, and microbial plaque on the surface of the tongue. One of the effective ways to control this condition is to brush the surface of the tongue daily.

She added: Consuming sugar-free gum can also be helpful, because it increases saliva flow and prevents the formation of tongue plaque. Saliva plays an important role in cleaning the mouth, and stimulating it through chewing gum helps improve oral health.

Referring to the role of allergies in causing oral changes, Sadeghipour stated: "In some cases, the body's reaction to allergens or allergy control medications can cause changes in the oral mucosa and tongue. These reactions are normal but can be controlled by observing oral hygiene."

He concluded by recommending: "Consumption of more fluids, observing oral hygiene, and using sugar-free chewing gum can be effective in managing bad breath and reduce the discomfort caused by it."
