According to Radio Salamat's public relations, in 2024, this award in the field of cardiovascular disease prevention was awarded to Dr. Majid Ghayur Mobarhan, a nutritionist and professor at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences; a valuable honor for the country's scientific community.
Dr. Ghayur Mobarhan is the main executor of the MASHAD cohort study project; A study that is recognized as one of the top cohorts in Asia and has provided valuable scientific research in the field of predicting the role of risk factors, especially nutrition, in the occurrence of cardiovascular diseases in high-risk individuals, both in Iran and around the world.
He is also the founder of the UNESCO International Center for Basic Medical Sciences and Human Nutrition in Iran; a center that plays an effective role in the scientific development of the field of nutrition and public health in the country and the region.
Despite this success, due to the failure to issue a visa to Dr. Majid Ghayor Mobarhan in a timely manner, the award was received at an official ceremony by Dr. Raisi, Deputy Minister of Health of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, on his behalf.
