The head of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence of the Islamic Azad University, Islamshahr Branch, announced the design and production of a smart helmet with the ability to monitor workers' vital and environmental signs, and said: This knowledge-based product using artificial intelligence is an effective step in improving the safety of industrial environments.
According to Radio Salamat Public Relations, Dr. Mohammad Hossein Shafiabadi, head of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence of the Islamic Azad University, Islamshahr Branch, in the "Noyar" program, referring to the industry's entry into the fourth generation and focusing on employee safety, added: "In the field of Industry 4.0, the use of smart wearable devices is essential to maintain the health and safety of workers."
He stated: The smart helmet designed by our team is capable of monitoring vital and environmental signs and sending the necessary warnings to the control center in the event of danger.
Shafiabadi continued: This helmet records people's vital information with accurate sensors and, by creating a database of their behavior and physical condition, enables rapid response in emergency situations.
He added: "Even in situations such as mine collapses, the exact location of people and their health status can be identified and targeted relief can be provided."
Shafiabadi emphasized the role of artificial intelligence in this technology and said: "This helmet can detect environmental hazards, analyze people's behavior, and automatically activate safety measures using intelligent algorithms. This system has wide application in high-risk industries such as steelmaking and mining."
He also announced the welcoming of students to the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence of Islamic Azad University of Islamshahr, adding: "Since 1402, new missions have been defined for the faculties that correspond to regional needs and social developments."
The Faculty of Artificial Intelligence of Islamshahr is developing technological products to serve citizens and focuses on smart industry and smart urban regeneration.
Pointing to the importance of updating educational content in new fields, Shafi Abadi stated: “We hope that with the efforts of caring professors, the course materials of artificial intelligence will always be up-to-date and that each generation of students will move a few steps ahead of previous graduates.”
